1. Overview
FAE Frameworks ("FAE", "we", "us", or "our") operates faeframeworks.com and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
By using FAE, you agree to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.
2. Data We Collect
Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, username, and (optionally) profile details such as a display name and avatar.
OAuth Data: If you sign in with GitHub or Google, we receive your public profile and email from that provider.
Content & Files: Files, apps, characters, stories, NFT metadata, and other assets you create or upload to FAE workspaces.
Usage & Telemetry: Page views, feature interactions, API call counts, and AI credit usage — used to improve the platform and enforce plan limits.
Payment Information: Billing is handled by Stripe. FAE does not store raw card numbers. We retain limited transaction records (plan, amount, date, payment IDs, status) for accounting, tax, fraud, chargeback, and legal obligations.
Device & Log Data: IP address, browser type, OS, and error logs collected automatically to support security and reliability.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Operate and deliver the FAE platform and your workspace.
- Authenticate your identity and keep your account secure.
- Process payments and manage your subscription plan.
- Enforce usage limits (credits, storage quota, API rate limits).
- Send transactional emails (password resets, billing receipts, security alerts).
- Improve platform features, fix bugs, and diagnose errors.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We will only send marketing communications if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
FAE shares data with the following categories of service providers, only to the extent necessary to operate the platform:
- Google Cloud Platform — file and media storage (GCS).
- MongoDB Atlas — database hosting for structured data.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- GitHub — OAuth login and repository linking (when you connect your account).
- Moralis — on-chain token price data.
- Magic Eden — NFT marketplace integration (when you list an NFT).
We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety and rights of FAE users.
5. AI & Desktop Compute
FAE's Electron desktop app can act as a local AI compute provider, running inference via Ollama and Fooocus entirely on your machine. In this mode:
- Prompts routed to your local Electron app are processed on your device and never stored on FAE servers.
- Prompts processed by cloud AI paths pass through FAE's relay infrastructure and are not retained after the session.
- We do not use your AI-generated content to train models.
6. Cookies & Local Storage
FAE uses cookies and browser storage for:
- Session authentication (secure, HttpOnly session cookie).
- User preferences (theme, sidebar state).
- Analytics (aggregated, anonymized usage counts — no cross-site tracking).
You can clear cookies at any time via your browser settings. Doing so will log you out of FAE.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data FAE holds about you.
- Correction — update inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Portability — export your workspace files and content.
- Opt-out — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
When an account is deleted, we remove or anonymize profile data, credentials, sessions, API keys, workspace content, and files under our control. We may retain a minimal compliance record and payment/security references where needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal claims, or other legal obligations. These retained records are separated from active account data and kept only as long as needed for those purposes.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@faeframeworks.com.
8. Data Security
FAE implements industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest on GCS, hashed passwords, and session-based authentication. However, no system is 100% secure — we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable any available two-factor options.
9. Children's Privacy
FAE is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will promptly remove it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. For material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
